Skating imprinted its presence in the book of history as early as the seventeenth century. It is originally used by people to glide over snow-filled canals called skeelers. The structure then was a wooden frame with wheels nailed into the boot or shoes. However, years later, improvements in design and usage made roller-skating an important part of life including recreation, exercise and even for work like servers in a restaurant would use roller skates in serving their customers.
In addition to the many uses of roller skates comes the birth of aggressive skates and skating. This is the start of the exciting “X” games inaugurated in 1995 under the helm of Aggressive Skaters Association (ASA).
While the history of aggressive skating started in 1995, younger population becomes interested with aggressive inline skating.Â
Because of the need for more strength and control for skating, equipment for the inline skates are slowly entering the books of history of aggressive skating.
This equipment and improvements include small but relatively soft skate wheels that will help skaters accelerate and decelerate faster. This improvement while slows the skates and needs frequent replacement will help skaters control their skates better during stunts and maneuvers involved in skating.
In addition to the improvements in the skates, the history of aggressive skating likewise allows safety to be part of each skating game. Protective gears such as helmets, guards and crash pads to protect the skaters are created.
The history of aggressive started in the United States where X games are held, however, because of the Gold Medal received by a 16-year-old Australian, history of aggressive skating entered the Australian skating industry.
Now, let us move on to the introduction of the Aggressive variations. The history of aggressive is never going to be complete if you do not know the disciplines involved in aggressive skating.
Street
Common structures found in city streets, plaza and campus objects such as rails, walls, ditches, benches, curbs and stairs are the surface where the skates will roll over. There is less flying but there would be stunts that will be performed in street skating, as this is an aggressive skating competition. Street skating may be illegal in some municipalities and thus, it is necessary that you check the rules of the area before skating in such an area.
Vert
You want real stunts and maneuvers, then this is the discipline that is for you. You will use half pipe structure that becomes vertical on top as a surface for skaters. Jumps, flying and summersault may be involved in the game. You will need to impress the judges by variety of slides, grinds, spins and aerial stunts. Most games imprinted in the history of aggressive skating would use vert or verticals in them.
Park
Indoor and outdoor skates park used for skating, that will simulate the structural elements used for vert and street would be present in this playground. Many tournaments happen in the park because it has all the necessary equipment and surface that will be good for skating.
The history of aggressive skating is not as straight forward as the history of roller blades, however, this is not what is important for many young individuals, because the excitement that skating gives them is more important that the history the surrounds the game.

The craze for
Roller skating has never seen a downturn. The adventure this sport gives witness daily of a walk down the city roads, young people show off their skills, children learn balance and adults use it as a fun alternative to the usual gym.
It is an interesting journey the roller skate came. From his first appearance on a London stage show in 1743, began the race to develop a stable set of of skates. It was not until 1876 that the first patent on an almost modern days skate ended, and only in the 1880s when commercial production of roller skates began. What began as a mere source of entertainment quickly became a worldwide sport.
The Rollerblade company was the first to come out with skates that are used today. Their design was much more popular than the traditional Quads, and soon became the standard design for all in-line skates in the variety.
Roller Skates of Today
Also known as roller skates, these skates are different from those in the quad arrangement of wheels. They have three, four or five wheels arranged everything in a single file. Most do not have a brake system and require what is called a "heel" stop, but not those produced for recreational purposes, provide one.
These skates first came into existence as a custom design made for a Russian ice skater, and later Rollerblade Inc., famous brand term them into a brand in itself.
The various components of this skate is:
Boot – boot design is made to allow skaters with good ankle support and also helping them to control the skate. A high boot or a boot was used depending on the subject.
