Inline skates; heel brake fell off.?
hello,
I own a pair of K2 moto skates, I have been inline skating for about 1 month almost everyday for an hour and today my heel brake suddenly came off without me realizing it. I was going quite fast and fell backward since I thought I could stop. Anyway, I found the heel brake and the bolt.
I put the heel brake back on and tightened the bolt the best I could. The thing is is that I am wondering if it could suddenly come off like that again if I tighten it regularly which I will do for now on. Is this common thing that happens when inline skating?
Loosing a screw is very rare unless they are not tightened. Just do it snug using fingertips on the wrench. If you crank on it too hard you can strip the threads on the screw.
If you are still unsure of it, you can use a little of the “removable” thread locker. *just a little*
