Inline Skate Brake Replacement

<p>When replacing the brake on your <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq. push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www. inlineskates. net”>”rollerblades”</a> it is important to remember that you do so before it becomes a problem. The best way to do this is to inspect the brake of your skate prior to skating each time. If you there is strong visible wear, you will want to replace it. Additionally, if you are experiencing difficulty stopping, this is also a sign that your brake may need replacement. You may also note that you brake has a wear-line on it. If your brake has whittled down to this line, go ahead and replace it. </p><p>Not all brakes are replaced the same way, but you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver to complete the replacement. Here are the two most common methods of brake replacement:</p><p><strong>Method 1 – Vertical Brake Attachment</strong></p><p>Step 1: Take your skate and turn it over. You will see a hole in the bottom of the brake that houses the screw. </p><p>Step 2: Take your Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the screw to allow the brake to come free. Remove the brake and position the new brake in its place. </p><p>Step 3: Replace the screw in the new brake and fasten it to the skate. </p><p>Once the brake is fastened in place, you are finished. If you do not see a screw attachment in the bottom of the brake, the brake is likely positioned horizontally at the top of the brake. </p><p>Step 2: Take your Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the screw to allow the brake to come free. Remove the brake and position the new brake it is place. </p><p>Step 3: Replace the screw in the brake and fasten it to the skate. </p><p>Once the brake is fastened in place, you are finished.
